Ugh, your James Jean collection is beautiful. I love it all, but for some reason this one really resonates with me. I wish he would have finished that owl in the sketch! I've followed him since Fables launched, too (I saw your comment on another piece) and I've somehow never seen this. Great pick up - as is the rest of your collection. Thanks for posting all of them.

I do not know why he only drew half of this piece. It's a little strange. Perhaps to save time, he drew half because he was going to digitally duplicate this half and super impose it as the other half with a few minor tweeks.
Jame's talent and work ethic is on another level. And his prints are amazing both in quality, detail and craftsmanship. I love the little embossed stamps at the bottom of each of his prints, lol. It's fun and exciting to see new JJ works when they pop up. I just wish his stuff was more accessible.
There are others on this site who have amazing JJ collections that dwarf mine in terms of quantity and quality. I think they are either personal friends with James, or have worked with him on projects before. I was very fortunate to have met James over 10 years ago. Very nice and cool guy. I met him back when he was roommates with David Cho in LA.
Thanks for the kind words. The James Jean drawing that you have on your site is very nice. Stay tuned as I may post one or two more JJ pieces left in my collection. I hope some day he will do another art exhibit showing in LA soon!
