DescriptionStar Wars: Clone TroopersArt by Brandon McKinney OAX 2025 - gifted art from Ian Saint! Saturday morning of OAX and I had barely gotten the chance to check out anything on the show floor yet when Ian Saint came up to me and hit me with this gifted illustration piece by Brandon McKinney of Clone Troopers from Star Wars (Clone Wars/Prequel Era). Brandon has been a storyboard artist for animated tv shows, as well as an animated tv series director, in addition to illustrating comic books and children's books. His credits include Warner Bros, Hasbro Animation, Marvel Animation, Darby Pop Comics, Warp Graphics, Dark Horse Comics, Electronic Arts and Lucasfilm, among many other companies over his thirty year career. Hanging out with Ian during the Orlando trip to OAX (at the show and at bars/restaurants nearby as well) was definitely one of the highlights of the show for me, thanks again for the cool Star Wars piece buddy! Damn that's awesome and very thoughtful gift. Love the heavier line weight to make the troopers stand out from the back ground

So, Clone Troopers are cloned from the original Storm Troopers? Anyway, nice illustration and even nicer show of generosity by The Saint himself!

Definately nice of Ian, but to answer your question...No, they are all cloned from the same individual, Boba Fett's father Jango Fett. As explained during the Star Wars Prequel era film Star Wars: Episode II Attack Of The Clones (ie, well before the original trilogy takes place in the timeline). So you can say they are a precursor to Storm Troopers (who would later be created by the Empire once the Emperor comes to power, using regular human beings instead of Clones).

Ian is not only one of the nicest guys around, but he also has a great eye for art! I love this piece, with both types of uniforms!!

Hmmm. I've had a pal buy me a drink, but never a piece of art! And such a terrific piece of art at that. handsome drawing by Brandon McKinney of Clone Troopers from Star Wars. Brandon has a nice style with great composition, and believable poses. I like all the detailing he included on the uniforms and weapons. That kind of detail brings a sense of authenticity to the art. I don't think I've seen Brandons work before, but it sounds like he's got tons of experience. Congrats on a gift you'll enjoy a long time.
