DescriptionPublished in 2006. This one-shot features Frank Castle and his “friend with benefits” Suspiria as they track down kidnapped children, including Suspiria’s daughter. There were quite a few excellent Punisher one-shots and minis published in the wake of Ennis and Dillon revitalizing the character under the Marvel Knights imprint. The “Bloody Valentine” one-shot was one of my favorites due in large part to the fantastic art of Gulacy and Palmiotti. On this page the Punisher walks in to find the aftermath of Suspiria torturing, maiming and killing a bad guy involved in kidnapping children. Even Frank seems a bit surprised by the level of brutality. Social/Sharing |

If there were artworks
No rage to seek
I would still fear you
If there were no tears
No maim to feel inside
I'd still feel for you
And children if the gun refused to shine
Even if romance ran out of crime
You would still have my art
Until the end of Knights
You're all I need, my blood, my Valentine
All of my lines
I have been waiting for
All Palmiotti
You've opened my thighs
Frank shown me how to love Paul Gulacy
I've screamed of this a thousand times torture
But in my dreams I couldn't love you more
I will give you my art
Until the end of crime
You're all I need, my blood, my Valentine

Bloody and moody. What you want in a Punisher page.

This was a great one shot for sure! Gulacy and Palmiotti work so well together, and this is a really nice 6 panel layout page from the book. Every panel feels cinematic. Great addition!

Wow, I never even knew Gulacy had drawn a Punisher story! So cool. You get some nice images of him AND a babe to go with it. Sweet!

I remember this title, but never read it. Maybe I should snag a copy and check it out!

I read it again before postiing this page, and I think it still holds up. It feels like a Marvel Knights Punisher book, which is a good thing.
