Description***Note: For both my posts tonight, I made a combined image of the original art and the published page because I think the colors are just so extraordinary and really enhance the beautifully detailed line work of Humberto. Please click on it to enlarge.I included an additional image of the original art alone that is a much bigger file size for better viewing*** In this issue, the four team members are zapped by Doctor Doom to four very different eras of history. Johnny Storm lands the furthest back in history. 521 million BCE. Before life evolved on land. Where the oxygen content of the air is 20% of normal. Which poses a big problem for any human, but especially one whose powers are based on fire. (By the way, how cool that the team's suits can give this kind of info). On this page, Johnny attempts to find oxidized metals in the rocks to heat to extreme temperatures in order to release oxygen, but it's not enough. Knowing he's in big trouble, he heads to the Forever Stone (we learn about this special stone as the story continues). Social/Sharing |

Very cool how Torch gets a spotlight and a problem to solve making him more compelling.

That is my scan actually. I just reduced the size quite a bit so that when you enlarge the combined image, the whole thing fits on the screen. I should include an additional pic of the original art at full file size.

Interesting. When I click on the additional image, the lines look fine. But when I click on the main image, the lines are all pixelated. Which is odd, because the scan is pretty large in size, similar to the additional one. Either way, the additional one is good!

That's so weird! I just had a couple friends check out the main image, and when they enlarge it, it's fine. Must be gremlins messing with things again.

I really like the coloring as well in the published, cant say that too often these days with modern art so this is a good surprise and the line art is also impressive with all that flaming on to showcase!
