DescriptionCelebrating May 4th with this page by Ramon Bachs and Raul Fernandez from the Jedi vs. Sith miniseries that is set 1,000 years before the original trilogy and features the Sith Lord Darth Bane chastising his rival in the Brotherhood of Darkness Lord Kaan over his battle strategy in the campaign against the Jedi on the planet Ruusan during the final days of the New Sith Wars.Darth Bane was first mentioned in the novelization of The Phantom Menace in 1999 and then made his first appearance in the short story Bane of the Sith written by Kevin J. Anderson that was published in Star Wars Gamer magazine in 2001. The character serves a prominent role in the lore of the Star Wars universe as the one who first instituted the Sith Rule of Two that would replace the Brotherhood of Darkness that had been structured similarly to the Jedi Order of the Old Republic. The Rule of Two dictates that there can only be two Sith at one time in the galaxy, a master and an apprentice. “Two there should be, no more, no less.
