Well...definitely cross another one off of my "all-time most wanted list". I really feel that Joe Kubert really blossomed into his best version on his Star Spangled Enemy Ace stories. This page has the elements that I was hoping for...classic Von Hammer images and lots of warplanes. Panel one totally wowed me, but the interlocking planes and the aerial choreography in that last panel is so thoughtfully done. I truly believe that Kubert's work on Enemy Ace is a high watermark in the war comics genre. Overjoyed to add this one to my collection.

Some great classic all time panels used on this page! The Enemy Ace images are very charismatic, but the last panel with the war machinery filling up the space is a showstopper!

Wow, I have always loved Kubert's work and Enemy Ace is one of his many high water marks. But you don't see these pages too often and this one is as spectacular as you've described, John! The first panel with the second circular one inset over it is such a wonderful graphic look. But as you correctly point out, the creative pov in the last panel is really genius! But the entire page as a whole is quite magnificent, really. Kudos!
