The Evolution of a Masterpiece: Claudio Castellini’s Superman Variant Cover

The first time I saw this cover, it wasn’t completely finished I hadn’t even seen the bottom portion. But that stunning space background had me hooked instantly.

When I spoke with Claudio, I asked if he could show me the rest. He explained it was still a work in progress for the Superman variant cover, but he generously shared a preview. At the time, the piece was already impressive so I bought it... but then he said, I would like to make it even better !

I’ll admit, I laughed. How could it possibly get better?

Inspiring Superman cover! Castellini adds so much fludity to the figure, cape, and the swirling clouds being illuminated by the sunrise.
