Description

This is a neat piece. Carlos drew this double page splash of the X-Men in their 1970s/1980s costumes. That version was published as a wraparound cover for Dolman #49-50. However, what Marvel had wanted was their modern costumes so Marvel asked him to put them in their modern costumes, replace Thunderbird with Sabretooth and so Carlos made various changes and then pasted the original art onto an overlay. The original DPS with the overlay for these few characters was then published as a Poster AND as a double page splash in X-Men the Ultimate Guide. So, this is a triple-published piece -- a poster, a DPS and a cover.
