Descriptionthe Shadow piece was picked up during the Wheeling and Dealing with Anthony Synder show on YouTube 3/19/25. this painting of the shadow done by Bill Sienkiewicz measures 9 by 14 (it was framed) done in mixed media. Bill did the first few issues of the shadow in the eighties made a mark with his fans, that he is often associated with this character. Bill's style has a unique vision that sets him apart from other artists. he is well known for his work on Moon Knight, New Mutants and the Elektra Assassin series. This painting reminds me of the scene from the Shadow movie (1994) where we first meet the shadow on a foggy bridge. he has a simple costume but it's iconic in its design.Social/Sharing |

Sienkiewicz is singluar in how mood and atmosphere play a role in his portraits. This is fine art all the way around.

It captures the essence of what the character is . Dark brooding and mysterious.

Love this! Sienkiewicz’s style really brings out the moody, mysterious energy of The Shadow. In this piece, it actually looks The Shadow willingly posed for the painting!

Yes it has a heaviness to it. You can feel the mist surround him as the ba.ck lighting illuminates him.

This could be a film still. Wild
it feels like the moment in the shadow movie where we first meet him on the bridge.
