DescriptionPublished in 1983, this was the first in a line of retail posters produced by DC, which later included an enormous Legion of Super-Heroes poster by Keith Giffen [which you can find over on Aidan (re-Legion) Lacy's CAF gallery].I had both posters on my walls, but being the massive Perez fan that I was, this one always held a special place in my heart during my early 20s. Getting to own the original is a true dream come true, and pairs well with the painted Accent on the First E Fantastic Four cover as key Perez samples of his work on those properties. The line work is incredible, as one would expect from George during this period, and as a black-and-white piece it would have been awesome, but the addition of the color work makes this truly stupendous! [Now I just need to figure out how to get the painted Crisis on Infinite Earths - Absolute Edition cover that George did with Alex Ross ...] Social/Sharing |

Absolutely unbelievable Michael! I bought this poster back in 1983 as well and had it on my wall for years and to this day is probably my favourite - and in my opinion, the best - NTT piece that George ever did. I am very happy for you as this definitely belongs in your collection, despite the fact that I am insanely jealous of you at this moment :)

"THE" Perez Titans piece to own! I've been drooling over this piece at conventions this past year! Like a lot of us I had it hanging on my bedroom wall throughout high school! George covered a good majority of the series up until about issue 39 in this poster! The size of this piece in person is staggering! Congrats on obtaining this True Grail!

Perez painted pieces are just amazing, and with the size of this piece, up close this is so imposing. So happy for you, it couldnt have gone into a better collection.

Phenomenal!!! I was fortunate enough to see this in person at SDCC. Great pick-up! One of Perez' best works. You have great taste!

This piece is so unbelievable that it really deserves to have at least 100 comments so I decided to leave another comment. I thought my jealousy would have abated by now but alas it has not.....congrats again Michael!

Absolutely exquisite! For me, this would be my one-and-done Perez piece. I agree that the amazing linework would be more than enough for any collector, but the gorgeous colors just put it over the top. Thanks for putting up such a nice scan (although I'm sure it still doesn't do the piece justice). I also have to agree with Mike, in that my congratulations are tainted with more than a slight bit of envy.
