A recent eBay pickup.

One interesting note: The seller advertised this piece as the work of Michael McDaniel. Easy error to make, I guess, given that both artists sign with only their initials, MM. Matt Martin's sig, however, is unique in that he always surrounds it with a word balloon, as you can see here. Martin also stylizes his initials in an immediately recognizable fashion, as though the letters were dripping ink. McDaniel's sig is clean and very linear. (The two artists' drawing styles aren't remotely similar, either. But let's not go there, shall we?)

At any rate, I knew as soon as I saw the scan on eBay that this was Matt Martin's work, and I bought it on that basis. If you're interested, you'll find other pieces I've commissioned from both Martin and McDaniel (including McDaniel's take on Wanda) elsewhere in these galleries.
