DescriptionI picked up this The Killing Joke Homage during the next Comic Art cover homage art drop and sale last month on YouTube. It was one by super talented Roby Amore from the Next Comic Art talented stable of artist's represented by Justin Cruz. The Idea was to take a famous comic cover and reimagine it. Roby too the famous cover from Batman the Killing joke (done by Brian Bolland) and switched the comic Joker with the Jack Nicholson Movie Joker. this is the famous scene where the joker visited Barbara Gordon at her Apartment and shot her as she answered the door, paralyzing her while he took a picture of it.Roby really hit this piece out of the park the pencils are fantastic! you can see the wagging tongue and the glee that the joker showed after the dastardly deed was done. I also like that Roby left a boarder around the piece as to give it a movie poster feel to the piece. It you want to get a commission from Roby contact Justin Cruz at nextcomicart.com he he will move than happy to help you.Social/Sharing |

This is so darn cool, love the recasting. I'd pay good money to see that Joker star in that Joker story. But which Batman...

Fantastic piece by Roby Amore! He is astonishingly talented! I'm blown away by how well he captures Jack Nicholson's Joker. Beautifully drawn homage to the Killing Joke. I can't believe this is just pencils with no ink washes. Mind-blowing.
