Description

this outstanding pinup of the Batman villain the Penguin was done by artist Riccardo Latina as part of the Batman Day 2023.this is just next level work put into this, as the penguin is in the forefront with gun drawn and the silhouettes of different types of birds stand ready at the penguin's beck and call. there isn't one inch of space wasted on this piece, yet the background never overpowers the evilness of the foul feathered fiend who has been a thorn in Batman's side since his first appearance in Detective comics. #58(1941) Riccardo told me it took him over two weeks to finish this piece, and it shows. Riccardo is represented by Kirby artcom.and a big thank you to Annebel who worked with me to be able to purchase this piece. A real feather in my cap to have this piece.

Thank you M L. He did a series of Batman Baddies like Bane,Harley Quinn,the joker and Scarecrow. all equally amazing but this one really stood out.

Haven't seen anything this dense in illustration work for a flock of birds since Bolland's take on Penguin in Secret Origins and for Animal Man in the 90's. Latina puts in that spooky stare that follows you everywhere from Penguin and all the birds behind him.
