Description

For this two-pager, I wrote the story (for what it's worth) and gave Steve a couple pages of layouts/prelims with the script. Steve drew the story onto 11 x 15.5 bristol. Neither of us are great shakes at lettering (and this was way before computer lettering), so I made the captions on a separate page and pasted the word balloons onto the boards.

Steve bears down so hard when drawing (he actually draws with the pencil in a fist), I was able to erase his pencils and redraw the artwork, keeping what I liked (which was most of it). Even when erased Steve's artwork was clearly visible. I was a slowpoke inking this... the panels are incredibly small on page one... and Steve finished and published Unreal Mind-Warp Funnnies #0 while I was diddling around inking or goofing off altogether. Laughably enough, this is all done except for the zip-a-tone, which I'll try to add digitally, rather than slicing up the art like I used to with an exacto knife!
