Description

Here is page 12 from 1993's Punisher Annual #6. This page features Frank buying a slew of cocaine from a woman, just to blow it all away (much to her dismay). Pretty funny stuff, Frank. I hadn't read this issue when I found the OA, nor was I aware that Dave Hoover had done work on The Punisher, but his talents suit the subject matter and time period. Also of note: UK writer, Pat Mills (2000AD, Judge Dredd, Marshall Law) is the writer on the story this page is a part of. My penchant for UK writers, products of 2000AD, and Marshall Law made that an extra pull for purchase of this page.

Unfortunately, I need to make some space and drum up some funds, so I have to let some original art go including this piece. Please feel free to send offers or send me a message to ask questions.

1993 annual so there is plenty to love in Hoover's approach. The bold and gritty atmosphere, the huge images with the crosshatching, and attitude that spills over in the story layout speaks to that decade's taste and what it celebrated.
