Description

Dave drew this great sketch at a convention in the 80's and I've owned it since 1999.

The creator of DaveCockrum.net (no longer active) had used some of my scans when the site was created in early 2000's. When Dave passed away in 2006, the New York Times used a few scans from that site as part of Dave's obituary. While this isn't the greatest written piece, and there are a few inaccuracies, it's still a nice honor that Dave received an obituary in the Times. I've included a scan.

I was fortunate that Dave lived in the New York area and attended multiple conventions in the late 90's to early 2000's. His health was already fading by then, but he was always happy to speak with fans.

He was very nice and this is a good example of his art. I luckily got a piece from him in 2001 of a swashbuckling Nightcrawler.
