Here's what Dave had to say about this on Jan. 11, 2003: "[B]elieve it or not, Keith Giffen designed Jack of Hearts. But everybody who used him drew him differently, and John Romita, Sr., who was then Art Director, asked me if I could do a definitive version that could be given out to the various artists. They followed my character drawings for awhile, but then went back to doing him any way they damn well pleased."

How did I miss this one? Jack of Hearts was such a cool looking character and and Dave was at his artistic peak here!

Dave did a great version and not surprised artists ignored it. Giffen must have had a mad on to create that design. I do love it though. Thanks for sharing.
