Description

This was also used as the back cover of issue #1. The unofficial/official? sequel to Dan O�Bannon�s B-17 story from �Heavy Metal� the animated 1981 film. One of the few inked pieces in the series. Only the first few airplane scenes of issue 1 were inked along with the covers for issue 1 & 2.

Trained to kill enemies of American democracy and freedom, the crew of a B-17 bomber continue on their mission, even now, long after they�d already given their lives to the cause. A Horror-War series set across the past, present and future, a freak occurrence reanimates an island of freshly killed soldiers in the wake of the Battle of Midway in World War 2. Written by George C. Romero, son of legendary film director George A. Romero and heir to the Romero DEAD media franchise. Illustrated by German Ponce.
