Description

This inspirational painting was produced very early on in the development of Fantasia. According to John Culhane, Fantasia, Harry N. Abrams, New York, 1983, at pages 156-157 (illustrated), it was one of a group of four story drawings/paintings which were the first pieces of art showing characters from the proposed Pastoral sequence which were shown to and commented upon by Walt Disney.
