DescriptionThe Justice Society of America was Earth-2’s first superteam, forged in the heat of World War II, and featuring their most high profile heroes. They set the heroic standard for all those who followed them.By contrast, the New Teen Titans were Earth-1’s most up and coming superteam. Sidekicks, former sidekicks and new heroes came together to create a new generation of heroism. Though the two teams never did meet in the DCU, this series of commissions showcases the heroes and heroines of both in style! Golden Age Wonder Woman –When Steve Trevor, an intelligence officer in the United States Army during World War II, crashed his plane on Paradise Island, the Amazons' isolated homeland, Princess Diana of the Amazon used their "Purple Ray" to nurse him back to health, and fell in love with him. When the goddess Aphrodite declared that it was time for an Amazon to travel to "Man's World" and fight the evil of the Nazis, a tournament was held to determine who would be the Amazon champion. Although forbidden by her mother, Queen Hippolyte, to participate in the tournament, Princess Diana did so nevertheless, her identity hidden by a mask. After winning the tournament and revealing her true identity, Queen Hippolyte relented and allowed her daughter to become Wonder Woman. Diana returned Steve Trevor to the outside world, and soon adopted the identity of nurse Lt. Diana Prince (by taking the place of her exact double by that name) in order to be close to Trevor as he recovered from his injuries, after which he became Wonder Woman's crime-fighting partner and romantic interest. To be a founding member of the JSA is one thing, to have been appointed to the JSA to be their secretary is perhaps best viewed as one of the charmingly quaint aspects of a time long past. Raven – Raven is directly responsible for the formation of the New Teen Titans, pulling together a group of young heroes after the JLA turned her down in her quest to find some way of stopping her father. She used subtle manipulation to do it, planting prophetic dreams in the mind of Robin, and going to far as to make Kid Flash fall in love with her in order to get her way. You can’t really blame her too much though, as emotions were fairly alien to her. Daughter of the demon Trigon and a hapless human woman, Raven was saved by the priests of Azarath and brought up in seclusion to repress every emotion, to exert absolute control over her feelings, because to give in to them was to risk letting her fathers influence creep in which, NOT a good thing. Thanks to her actions in pulling the team together, Trigon was stopped, and the Titans remained together. Johnny Thunder - Imagine your most well meaning, but most irresponsible friend. Everyone has one; the guy whom you'd probably trust with your life, but certainly not with your new car. Not a malicious bone in his body, but somehow nothing ever goes quite right. Now add in the powers of a small scale god and you have some idea as to Johnny's place in the world. By saying the words "Cei-U", which sound just the same as "Say you", Johnny brings forth the mystical Badhnesian Thunderbolt which is his birthright. Genie-like, it can magically bring about anything Johnny asks for, and that means anything. The Thunderbolt has a mind of it's own, but obeys Johnny without question, it can be a little on the literal side though, so he has to be very aware of what he says... and what do you think the odds are of that happening with Johnny? Though never exactly a big name hero, and never having a codename of costume, he WAS a founder member of the JSA, though he was later replaced by the Black Canary. Social/Sharing |

I loved this whole series Icon......The fact is that the Teen Titans never team-up with the JSA is really mind bogling. Teen Titans and Infinity Inc. does not counted as JSA team up.
