DescriptionA nice page from Gammill’s fantastic (if too) short run on Marvel Team-Up.In this issue, Spidey & the Vision team up to face a hidden society of robots that would like to experience living in human terms and/or is curious about the concept of living. The typical themes explored by Dematteis in his super hero work (of that era). We have great shots of Spidey and the Vision as well as robotic Mark Twain and Fyodor Dostoyevsky. The page offers many typical Gammill poses and showcases his great attention to the body languages of the characters, especially the hands. We get a swinging spidey, a sticking to the wall Spidey AND a shot of the spider sense in action on the same page. I really loved his interpretation of Spider-Man who is athletically build without being over muscular, just as he should be. This issue is also aptly inked (and not finished) by Mike Esposito which is notable as Mr Gammill only provided layouts on some issues of his run, to be finished by the inkers. The end product while looking without doubt as a Gammill drawn issue could not compete in terms of quality with the issues he fully penciled. Social/Sharing |

Nice description and I'd agree. I like Gammill's rendition of Spidey (muscular but lithe) and there are some nice examples here. A great flow down the page capped by a really great head shot in the last panel! Congrats!

Love his spidey: the poses, the figure not overly muscular, as you said. Particularly fond of that last panel with his spider-sense tingling and this captured on-the-spot natural moment, what a talent!!
