A nice page from Superman 32 (1989) from the memorable run by Stern & Gammill with Janke on inks.

This page is basically the modus operandi of Mongul conquering worlds.

As always with Gammill, the storytelling is limpid and you don’t need words to understand what’s happening on the page.

The panel with Mongul taking off his mask, being extremely pleased with himself and his conquest is fantastic. The next one, while small perfectly conveys the feeling of a world surrendering itself to Mongul.

A small testament of a page to the impeccable storytelling of Gammill.

Veni, Vidi, Vici indeed.
