DescriptionThe late Gray Morrow was one of the few artists, besides Dave Stevens who did the Rocketeer in an official Rocketeer comic. He at least did a pin up and there are Morrow pages on CAF though I haven't been able to confirm where they are from. This 15" by 20" pencil piece is dated the same year as the movie. It shows the Rocketeer laughing it up presumably after a rough landing in a tree hanging upside down near his girlfriend Betty, obviously patterned after Bettie Page.Social/Sharing |

Robert: The Morrow Rocketeer story appeared in the Disney Adventure Magazine - which is a digest-sized comic. The cover of the Morrow Rocketeer issue has a photo of the Rocketeer from the movie, which you may recall was produced by Disney -- which is how they got the rights to do a digest that featured the character. Your piece is lovely! Best wishes!
