Jack Sparling did great work even in his later years and this cover is a fine example. I totally agree with Shaun, this one doesn't work with colors at all.

Masterful use of white paint to create subtle highlights on this cover. This is one of the best-looking DC mystery covers I have seen. Big congrats Steve!

Very nice piece. And a standout among the gray tone covers. Correct me if I'm wrong, I think it was Jack Adler who created DC's process for these tonal covers. Otherwise, we wouldn't have these great pieces. Does anyone know why this process seems only limited to the mystery/horror titles ?
