Description

I love the Batcave. What kid didn't grow up loving or wanting some kind of clubhouse with all their cool stuff in it?

This story took place when Tim Drake (still one of my favorites) was Robin. The page is great because it shows the technology around and available, but Batman goes to his book collection (you think it's cataloged like the library?) pulls down a printed book with a book-mark.

And I don't know if McDaniel has some kind of reference or requirement, but I LOVE(!) the bat sign on the back of Tim's chair. I don't think Ikea does that. For me, that little touch takes me back to the old '60s television show where everything was labeled.

It has all the McDaniel designs that play on black and white patterns and contrasts without regard if it was to be colored or not. He's giving Tim a copy of "A Death In The Family" to make sure he stays in line or wind up on a telephone poll.

I love how it tells the story starting with an almost half splash, followed two narrow panels and then a second half splash. The story is clear but there is also some great art to please the reader. Congrats.
