Description

Back when stamps cost 33 cents, the USPS came out with a Celebrate the Century series and some stamp albums to go along with it. They decided to use superheroes to narrate the various themes. This is from #6, covering the 1950's. Dick Giiordano has Supergirl and Wonder Woman talk about the real cool rocket-inspired tailfin and chrome cars of that time. This is a double-page spread.

That's a beautigul Double page splash ! Very graceful SUPERGIRL. As cheesy as they were, I loved the art in those albums so much that I went and bought a piece myself (by Breyfogle). Anyhow, congrats on a great piece !

I wanted this soooooo bad. I wish I had been near the computer when it closed to put my bid even higher. Nice piece and what a great deal. Glad it went to a CAFer so I can see it all the time....but I still wouldn't mind owning it. :)
