Description

Original cover art to America's Greatest Comics #3 (Fawcett, Spring 1942) attributed to, though possibly not by, Mac Raboy. Nevertheless a masterpiece, and perhaps the most iconic of all WWII Fawcett covers. Displayed at the "No Joke: The Spirit of American Comic Books" exhibit at the Mizel Gallery, Denver, Colorado, January 15-March 30, 2004.

I'm glad I no longer have to bemoan Raboy as an under appreciated artist. Mac was simply one of the finest artists in the field. This cover makes you want to buy comics. Just a wonderful example. Huge congratulations to you for finding this.

Truly historic! Mac RaBoy is one of the most underappreciated artists of the Golden Age. Congrats on this pick-up.
