Description

This commission is part of a project developed by La Nona Arte in collaboration with Luca Enoch.

The theme is related to one of his early works, "Sprayliz", initially published in L'Intrepido, and then continued in a series (1994/1995), published by Star Comics, and another five issues in the Nuvole series published by Comics & Dintorni.

Elizabeth, known as Liz, is a high school student and artistic gymnast with a secret passion for spray-painted graffiti, which earns her the tag "Sprayliz."
With an independent and enterprising personality, bisexual, she loves to paint graffiti on the walls of the city where she lives, denouncing the abuses of power by the mayor and the police, addressing social issues ranging from racism to exploitation, the therapeutic use of drugs, and including topics such as Tiananmen Square and police brutality.

The portfolio book was released at Lucca Collezionando 2025, containing previously unpublished illustrations created by the author specifically for La Nona Arte members, reproduced in A3 landscape format in a prestigious numbered edition.

All the original art has been created in pencil & ink with a nib, brush, and ziptones, on A3 paper.

The subject of my piece sees Liz landing a formidable flying kick to the face of a Nazi skinhead with a switchblade, while a second one is already on the ground, stunned.
