Description

From the 2011 Toronto Fan Expo.

Inspired by the events of Fear Itself, Steve Epting agreed to do my idea for this cover. Steve was the one who drew Bucky's return in Marvel which turned out to be a pretty big and awesome deal. I asked Steve to swipe one of his panels from the death of Captain America in #25 (which was also used as the cover to the 2nd printing) to show Bucky's death from Fear Itself #3 with the Black Widow at Bucky's side. There isn't enough that can be said about Bucky's return and Ed and Steve's run on Captain America. I really have to thank Steve for coming through and really doing an amazing piece for me at the show.

Raphael, a superb Epting masterpiece! Steve is the best draftsman around today - but he is also one of the nicest, down to earth, guys you will ever meet!

This was such a great score. A perfect execution of a world famous image...reimagined with another classic twist. (By the way, a big fat boo to Matt Fraction for killing off Bucky)
