I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love Steve’s dinosaurs! And the way he draws women ain’t too bad either. Getting both in the same drawing, well, you can’t really ask for more. This is one of the coolest dino’s I think I’ve ever seen him draw. Then you’ve got the babe in the short shorts with the knife and the attitude. I don’t know, something about this scene gives me a very strong 1950’s vibe. Just looks like a scene from any number classic Golden Age sci-fi or jungle comics. I love that flavor in Steve’s art. Stylistically, he’s such a chameleon! He can look just as “slick” as any contemporary young artist working today, and then he’s got this nostalgic throwback style that really resonates with me. Let’s face it, the dude can just flat out draw! Thanks Steve! You da man! Can’t wait to see what those magic hands come up with next. Oh, and make sure you check out ADDITIONAL IMAGES for a really cool Frankenstein drawing on the back of this piece! Social/Sharing |

It's funny as on any given day, an artist can produce a piece that moves you, . . . or doesn't. This is a very nice piece by Mannion, and as far as birthday presents, it sure beats the art in any card that I have received. Congratulations on both celebrating a birthday and the new art!
