Description

This wonderful piece was created by the vastly underrated Mike Perkins and Andrew Hennessy. It is drawn on a single oversized sheet of bristol board measuring 17" x 22" and was published in various CrossGen titles to promote the series Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

KKBB was a cracking spy thriller in the tradition of James Bond, but with a "supernatural" twist. If you compare this piece to the published version, you'll notice that the top half of the background was edited out when published so as to not reveal the albino Lazarus Bale, who would become the mysterious antagonist of the series.

KKBB was fantastically fun to read, but was an unfortunate victim of the CrossGen bankruptcy. Thankfully, I have the honor and pleasure of owning not only this great piece, but also the original cover art to the entire series, including the unpublished issues!

Exceptional. Love all of your Kiss Kiss Bang Bang collection. It was a such a departure for Crossgen and Mike knocked it out of the park Fun, funny, sexy - the whole ball game.

Thanks, Chris. Yeah, you said it perfectly in how you described the book. It was such a shame that CrossGen went under when it did, as I really enjoyed this book and thought it was going to be one of the most fun ongoing titles I was reading from them.
