DescriptionI very rarely commission artists or buy illustrations done on spec, but I couldn't resist getting this one. Although I enjoy various different comic book styles, I'm quite partial to realism and Mike Perkins' is one of the industry' best in that regard. As a fan of the Teen Titans since the early 80's, I also love Dick Grayson's growth from Robin to Nightwing. Put both art style and character together and it made a perfect reason for me to make another exception and add this piece to my collection.I also want to say, that I'm posting this piece as a tribute to my friend and fellow collector, Jeff Singh. You would never guess judging by what he has in his gallery, but Jeff is probably the hobby's BIGGEST Nightwing fan and so is his son Ridley. Cheers, guys! Social/Sharing |

FANTASTIC image of Nightwing. Mike Perkins does add a lot of realism to his illustrations, and this one is inked beautifully --- so big and bold. Great addition.

This rocks! Love the close up pose with arm up and head turning around. Great expression too and the decision to have the eyes darkened out was spot on! I guess Mike knows what he's doing :) Congrats!

Now that I have been outed, it is time for me to post all the images of my Nightwing boudoir collection. I hope you get a chance to post all your cosplay poraroid pics with you dressed as Robin and Nightwing. Might I suggest not posting the one with Batmite...it is a little too NWS.

Plus, you should get Vito's permission before posting some of those too... Just sayin...
