I <3 me some Plastic Man. There's a special place in my heart where the intelligence and humor mesh to help me feel a closeness with this character. I try to pick up a piece whenever I can if it involves this character.

Fast forward (or go back?) to a few weeks ago where Hilary Barta was on a CAF Live show slinging his art for the masses -- and in the mix was this beauty.

Unpublished but absolutely fun. Couldn't be happier to own it!

Plas has those loopy long limbs that shows off Barta's smooth single pass continuous linework! Cartooning in the classic Jack Cole manner!

Barta's is my favorite take on Plastic Man after Jack Cole himself. Super cool piece!

A great illustration of one of the most fun characters in comics! I don't know what DC is doing with him these days, but he should be used more regardless!

Barta just nails the character design as a whole and the pose feels stretchy! I mean, look at that hair! The combo of clean lines and inks create a pin-up that makes you want to recycle. Nice one!
