Being an absolute Disney fanatic, when I found out that Ricardo worked in the Art Department for several major motion picture productions, I got pretty excited. And when I found out some of the art production work he did was on Disney films, I was ecstatic. Of course I immediately checked his IMDB to see which Disney movies he was involved with. I guess I shouldn�t have been too surprised that he did character designs for Disney�s DINOSAUR, one of my favorite Disney animated features. The reason I became a fan of Ricardo�s art was because of his Age of Reptiles comic work. So for me, getting artwork that combined two of my most favorite things (Disney and dinosaurs) was a major treat. Ricardo showed me a handful of design drawings and while I was tempted to snatch up all of them, I had to watch my now very limited budget. I chose this Pachycephalosaur study because I felt it featured some of his most elaborate pencil work, plus it was the only design drawing with two figures on it. Just wanted to get a little extra bang for my buck. Especially since I�m not able to spend as many bucks on the hobby as I used to. LOL! Although Pachy was ultimately not featured in the film, it�s still my favorite of the design drawings he showed me.

Anyway, as usual, HUGE THANKS again to Ricardo for being so cool to deal with. I had to sell some art to pay him, so he was holding this piece for quite a while. I told him I was going to try and pay him on my birthday (almost a month ago) but wasn�t actually able to do it until this past week. What was awesome about Ricardo, although I made him wait months for payment, he didn�t make me wait for the artwork. As soon as he got the payment, he overnighted the art. How cool is that? Like I said, as nice as he is talented (and we all know how talented he is). Stay safe everyone!

Ricardo does sound like a very cool guy, and what a wonderfully detailed design piece! Disney and Dinosaurs DO go great together. And a belated Happy Birthday to you!!

Thanks Paul. Getting old sucks, but getting fun pieces like this from someone as nice as Ricardo helps make up for it. And of course you know I just had to watch the movie again. That was fun too!

Thanks buddy! Was really surprised at how tight, finished, and wonderfully textured these pencils were for a design sketch. Just incredible work by Ricardo. What a talent.

Fabulous drawing. Delgado is masterful with his pencils and this piece shows off his skill beautifully.

Thanks Bill. Speaking of skill, based on the above sampling, I think Ricardo would make a great letterer. Too bad he didn't get to display that ability since Age of Reptiles was told without word balloons. Appreciate the comment buddy!
