Aprox. 17"X 11" Jack Kirby Captain America 207 Cover Recreation Inked By Angel Gabriele
Image uses ink, brush & pen on quality bristol board, and was recreated from a Xerox of the pencil art, which was lightboxed in pencil onto Bristol Board and inked by Angel Gabriele.
The logo has been tacked (w/rubber cement) down for easy removal. !The inks are based on the Kirby Cap head that was redrawn on the published version.
The pencil drawing was published in the The Jack Kirby Collector Magazine. Not a "quick sketch", but an amazing original recreated drawing, with superior linework and NO White-out, the digital image does NOT do this original justice. Illustration is suitable for framing! ( photo is shot at slight up angle to avoid glare.) At the request of longtime Kirby family friend David Schwartz, and to avoid questionable sales by less than reputable dealers, all Angel's Jack Kirby recreation work states in archival ink, on the back, that they are a recreation by Angel, and are signed on the front after Kirby's name.
