Description

This incredible illustration is done on 20" x 30" board and was drawn using pencil, ink, and gray tones. When I sent the request to John Byrne, my description read:

An oversized illustration featuring Hulk vs. Abomination with tones. The details are:

- Please draw the torn purple-pants Hulk of the 1970's

- Background is up to you. Please have lots of destruction and include plenty of detail on Abomination's scales

That's it; I find giving an artist lots of freedom with the request often produces my favorite commissions!

This amazing illustration brings back great memories of the "Hulk of my youth" and makes me wonder what "might have been" if JB were ever to have drawn a complete issue featuring the Hulk and Abomination going toe-to-toe!
