DescriptionThe Master Mold two parter represents one of the highlights of the outback period of Uncanny. Dan Green's inks were just perfect on those two issues, which provided a good combination of Claremont soap in 246 and good old super hero action in 247.The layout of this piece is somewhat different. It does not have a central point, but rather the action is scattered along the diagonal axis of the large, threatening Master Mold and the distressed Rogue. The central point seems to be the SKZAM! special effect (thanks to Orzechowski, we now know what the combined effects of Havok, Dazzler and Storm's powers sound like!) This splash holds a special place in my memories, as it marked my comeback to comics after a 10 year hiatus. Leaving Byrne's X-Men and finding Silvestri was a shock, but good art is good art! I started collecting X-Men during the Australia era, so it will always have a special place in my heart. And Silvestri's art never looked better than when inked by Dan Green, in my opinion. So yeah, gorgeous page and I am envious!

Very nice acquisition. Strong Silvestri's storytelling. Rogue's in bad shape, Havok and Dazzler combine their powers but do no harm to the Master Mold. Perfect introduction to this issue and the coming ending.

Wow! What a great title splash page, this has so much going on all in one quick image of X-Men action. I love Silvestri's take on the X-Men team, especially on Rogie in her Ms Marvel era. Cheers!
