DescriptionInferno is my all-time favourite mutant cross-over. It resolved some major sub-plots and featured great art by Silvestri, Simonson and Blevins, providing a surreal, demonic stage for the drama that was unfolding around Madelyne, Jean and Ilyana.I like how this page shows the lingering effects of Inferno on NY architecture and on the X-Men. Storm was so tough in those issues by Claremont! Great storytelling by Silvestri and great inks by Dan Green. Many thanks to Todd for a very smooth deal. Now I just need a great page with a nice image of the Goblyn Queen! Social/Sharing |

Amazing example from my favorite Claremont-run artist, way too many word baloons but superb art and nice inks by Green !

Great page! I, too, love the Inferno crossover - the entire creative team just seemed to be in synch and firing on all cylinders! Case in point here! And I’ve always loved Silvestri’s Cyclops and Storm...and you got both! Congrats!

Very nice page Carlo. Good Silvestri UXM pages do not come up as often as you would think.

I recently re-read these Inferno issues--and while all the tie-ins, etc. may have made it an overblown and drawn-out crossover, the Uncanny X-Men issues were SO good! Dark stuff, and great character moments when the original and new X-Men finally reunited after many years of separation. Besides being beautifully drawn by Silvestri, the storytelling in the bottom two panels here is just awesome: Scott's high-and-mighty criticism and Storm's cold response: "I am Storm... I lead the X-Men." So cool!!

Silvestri's Outback X team is one of the best and even that is only secondary to his iconic Inferno X-Men work, huge congrats on this beauty.
