DescriptionFun piece by Addams family creator very much in the style and with the humor of his most famous creations. I like the circular format of the art and frame presents the art nicely. Very happy to finally have an Addams and thanks to the Addams Foundation I found out that this was a commercial art piece. It was done in 1983, Interior Design created a twelve-page series for Decorator Walk and this is number 7. See additional images for what it looked like in print.Social/Sharing |

Brilliant pick up! Love the roundness too. perhaps you can find a round frame - although the one there looks great. Congrats!!

I'd have to cut the original board if i were to frame in a circular frame, which I thought about too. It would go against every principle I hold dear as a caretaker and lover of art to cut the board for the sake of presentation.

It's a great piece! As for the presentation, it's not simply the rounded mat that makes it eye catching, it's the fact that it's a circle inside a square. Both shapes work hand in hand to creat the eye appeal.

Really great! I like the balance he acheived in the composition with the light and dark areas. Superb control of the ink wash!

Charles Addams is a name that doesn't often come to mind when thinking about comic art, but seeing one always reminds us he is a master of the field.
