Whew! It took a year to convince Kevin to do a commission, then another year for him to get it done. For some reason, he got stuck on the composition and had troubles getting to something he liked. He stuck with it and ended up doing a killer job. I think this is one of his finest pieces. Thanks for not giving up Kevin!

I loved the Vampirella story that Kevin did with Michael Bair for Vampi's 25th anniversary:

So, for her 40th, I asked Kevin to do a piece that fills in a gap in the story and shows the Blood Red Queen as she trys to wear down Vampirella. This takes place somewhere between pages 5 and 6. Or 6 and 7, I can't find the total story right now. But you get the idea.

I usually don't get inked pieces because of the cost, but Kevin's inks are so amazing I had to get this one done up in full inks. The linework is gorgeous. Kevin is a master and this is stunning in person. He also has the prelims for sale, so if you are interested contact him or check ebay as they show up.

Oh my, the detail just in the cape alone is amazing. Kevin out did himself on this one. Great job!!

I too am lucky enough to own a Nowlan original, and I can't recommend him highly enough. This is a fantastic piece of art. I don't usually associate Kevin with drawing female characters, but wow, he did an amazing job!!!

Jon--that is a fantastic Nowlan commission. His girls are generally skinny and these girls have curves in all the right places. I actually think this is my favorite Vampi rendition that I've seen Kevin do. Huge congrats on getting him to the commission!!!!
