Description

There comes a time in many OA collector's lives where they set their sights on fewer pages, but of greater personal importance... which can often translate to a higher bank-account annihilating dollar value for art that is more thrilling and passion arousing. With the extremely generous help of one of the coolest collectors in the hobby, that's what I was able to do in 2010.
Spidey #86 pages have a lot of meaning to me for a variety of reasons, so having the chance to acquire another two is very special. I'm incredibly grateful to have been included in the mix at all when these became available, and still marvel at the improbability of being their current caretaker.
This page 2 features Romita's glamorous rendition of the Black Widow taking a final swing through Manhattan in her fishnet costume, which she replaces in this issue with her well-known black body suit. It makes a nice diptych with page three, also in this gallery.

What a gem! Great little figure of Spidey receding in the first panel and I love the atmospherics at the lower left. Of course, Romita's Black Widow has so much style and beauty --- and she appears in every panel of this amazing page

Black Widow in her fishnet costume is before my time but in my humble opinion, this was her coolest costume ever. This is Silver Age diamond in more ways than one. For any Black Widow fan, you could check off all the boxes that makes this the perfect page!
