DescriptionHad this one for a while. OK, it may be a DC Comics Presents page but there's no Superman here. However, this may be one of the best ever Deadman splashes by the mighty Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez. Garcia-Lopez only inked himself about half the time. So this issue was a treat. Rama Kushna's "cloud" appearance is all ink, no zipatone. However it appears JLGL did have a little help. You can see some yellowing which must have been where a frisket was applied. The patterns in the mountains are also all ink but maybe another frisket was used. I think it's pretty rare for JLGL to use "special effects". Deadman was created by Arnold Drake and Carmine Infantino. Social/Sharing |

Awesome Cardy splash! Wait, this isn't a Cardy page! What's this doing here? It's throwing off your entire gallery Will. I think you should just give it to me. I've been looking for just the right Garcia-Lopez piece and this is it. LOL

I always loved this page, and the way he made the face in the clouds. Great splash!
