Description

Fables, the comic book series about fairy-tale characters living in exile in Manhattan and upstate New York, continues in the fifth trade paperback installment ("Mean Seasons") after the Manhattan enclave was attacked by forces of the Adversary in the fourth. The title references the year after the attack; summer sees the birth of Deputy Mayor Snow White's sextuplets (the father is Sheriff Bigby Wolf); fall, Prince Charming's election as mayor; winter, bad decisions by the new administration; and spring, plans to counterattack the Adversary. The volume includes two shorter pieces, as well - one showcasing Bigby Wolf on a secret mission during World War II and the other telling the tale of Cinderella entrapping a Fable who is collaborating with the Adversary.

This piece also served as the cover to fourth book in the 'Fables: The Deluxe Edition' series.
