Description

Legendary artist Murphy Anderson reprises Frank R. Paul's iconic Marvel Comics #1 cover for The Overstreet Price Guide #33. In 2003, I was still collecting golden age comics and the Overstreet Price Guide was my Bible— the authority on comic book values and market trends. Marvel Comics #1 is a classic that launched the Marvel universe as we know it today. Ink and watercolor over graphite on double-size Bristol board (17" x 23"). The title was changed to “Overstreet Price Guide’ for publication.
