Just perfect Felix, it's got that "super" pose, and that great Adams face on the big blue boy scout. You really nailed it with this choice.

Hey Felix, it seems as if I have been afflicted with some of those left-over "super" powers that Supes had in abundance in the 60s. I'm Super-jealous, but on the flip side Super-happy for you. It is Super-wonderful of you to share this with everyone on CAF after you had to unearth a good number of green-Ks to get it. Congratulations on picking up a Super-b Adams cover!

A nice Superman cover... Neal's Batman covers get the glory, but Neal did a great run of Supes covers too, but only two stories. Best, Rich

Great pick-up Felix. Hard to imagine Neal Adams being "underrated" but his work on Superman certainly was. Growing up and seeing his covers, I always thought "Wow, that's what Superman would look like if he was an actual person". Looking at this cover all these years later, I'm still saying "Wow". Cheers! Felix it was really great meeting you at the con - I was lucky enough to be there when this cover was 1st pulled from its folio and for a brief minute I think the fan boys dressed as Supes walking the show floor found themselves mesmerized by some unknown force… truly a spectacular Superman cover!!! Unfortunately for me, the 200 I had in cash was a tad less than the seller wanted :)

I haven't said this too many times as it is almost sacrilege, but when I close my eyes and think of Superman, it is not the great Curt Swan's Man of Steel I see, it's Neal's. He did not do that many Superman stories (an early handful in World's Finest and even fewer in the Superman comics themselves – not counting Superman vs Muhammad Ali), still, the dynamic nature of Neal's cover art, clearly shown here, was perfect for a character called Superman.

Yup, held this one in my hands. When Rich was a flight attendant and he had a scheduled layover in SF, he would bring some of his pieces and I would meet him in his hotel room. More often than not, they would result in all nighters talking about art and collecting. One of the nicest guys in the hobby. I miss those days.
