Description

I would like to thank Bob for giving me first shot at this amazing piece, after hounding the poor guy for months. Not only do I collect Iron Man art, but also Iron Man toys and toy prototypes, so this is the perfect cross over piece for me. This is the art for the Hasbro Secret Wars 2-pack packaging. The printed art is on a small cardboard insert which is inserted into the package and visible through the bubble / blister - most of the lower third is cut off of the final image. The iinked mage is on 11" x 17" comic art board and takes up about 2/3 of the page. I'm proud to say this is my first Layton piece but not my last!

Yes, I know the armor in the live-action movies are now the "in thing". However, this is the "classic" Iron Man armor I've always loved the best. And seeing it drawn here ~ in all it's golden glory ~ by the incredible Bob Layton, is more than one could ever ask for. I'm glad it went to someone who truly appreciates and deserves as much as you do, friend. "Congratulations"!!!
