Description

Here's a vintage Sub-mariner cover with a huge, powerful image of Prince Namor. A prime example from Sal Buscema's memorable run (Subby #25-36) on the title which featured the 1st Defenders story, an epic battlle with Hulk and the Avengers and cross-overs from Silver Surfer and Capt. Marvel.

Read 'em all dozens of times as a kid, and now proud to add this cover to my collection. Special thanks to Mark L. for a smooth transaction.

I agree with every one else's comments here. Sal's epic run was way too short. Sal at his very best, of course my favorite issues. Were the 1st Defenders vs the Avengers two issues. If you ever decide tosell this gem. Please shoot me off a e-mail. Congrads!

Great cover! I came very close to pulling the trigger on this multiple times over the years. You have to love a cover with 2 classic Marvel characters and the black sky really gives it punch. And best of all, you have to love any cover drawn as beautifully as this!
