Description

High off of getting the sketch from Gordon Purcell, I wanted to add one more to my collection before leaving the 1997 MicroCon. Towards the front of the room was a pair of artists I had not heard of, but I liked the stuff they were doing. I asked them to do a sketch, and explained the concept of the book. Christopher Jones had recalled enjoying Ultra Boy, so he penciled, and Mark Stegbauer inked an amazing shot of him in flight.

I do recall the inking taking a long while, and while I did get a little tired of waiting, the finished product more than makes up for it.
