Description

I had planned to attend the Comicon again in 1998. I had planned to get a lot more sketches in my sketchbook. I had planned to get a commission from three of my favorite artists, Jeff Moy would pencil it, Cory Carani would provide inks, and Tom McCraw would color the finished product. I had planned all these things. Unfortunately, my pocket book disagreed. As I was unable to go to the Comicon in person, I figured I�d send my sketchbook there instead. I contacted Cory and asked him if he would be willing to coordinate this. He agreed, and told me to send the book.

I am a big fan of Cory�s, and had gotten to know him at prior comic conventions. We even exchanged Christmas cards for a few years. It was a thrill to have him do this for me. Unfortunately, things didn�t come together for him either, but he was kind to provide this sketch. He also went back and inked the prior quick sketch he had done previously. This way I had a sample of both his pencil and inked works, he told me.
