I'm no expert, but that is about as pretty of a Carol Day strip example as you are ever going to see. Lovely!

Makes one wonder why he didn't name the strip Carol Night.

You can officially stop collecting Wright art with this singular piece, there is nothing else you need or will get from further examples. A high point not only for the strip but in comic art in general.

The darkness and fog are pierced through by the innocence of the "by golly" face!

This is a magnificent strip and the crosshatchings are incredibly done! The weight of the line and direction of the linework is masterfully handled.Their are aspects of some other great artists in this piece such as Booth and Wrightson to name just a few.It puts a whole new meaning to Carol Day in my book, lol.Oh yeah, congrats on this one !

Stunning Carol Day strip! David Wright really drew the heck out of this one. I love the opening scene with the silhouetted girl and the bus driving by in the dark. The portrait of the girl in the second frame is astonishingly well drawn, I love the way the light is treated here. And the textures Wright created with the cross hatching is amazing. The final panel is another gorgeous silhouette of the girl lit by the fire buring in the trash can. Amazing technique--Does anyone put that much energy into one comic strip these days?
